A27 Lancing to Shoreham Cycleway

It was with some surprise that I noticed that the Highways Agency was building what looked like a cycleway along the southern side of the A27 between Manor Road roundabout in Lancing (by the sports centre) and the Coombes Lane traffic lights.

I have now contacted the Highways Agency, and this is indeed a shared-use footway and cycleway that they are building, along with upgrading the pedestrian crossing at the sports centre to be a Toucan crossing usable legally by bicycles as well as pedestrians!

As at 19.1.15 the Eastern end from the Airport turn to Withy Patch is prepared for resurfacing presumably when the weather is drier - see attached photo's

On 29.1.15 the resurfacing had been completed
